Welcome back, Badgers!
As a back-to-school celebration and a reminder to “Be Kind,” the Dean of Students Office teamed up with KIND Snacks in a heartwarming KIND Campaign.
Representatives from the Dean of Students Office came together with regional representative and student campus ambassadors from KIND Snacks to make the two-day campaign a success. They also had guest appearances from UW’s Chancellor Blank, Provost Mangelsdorf, and Vice Provost/Dean of Students Lori Berquam to assist in handing out KIND bars and connecting with the students.
Also handed out were Dean of Students Office stick-on phone wallets and individual flowers, encouraging individuals to “Pick One, Pass it On” and share the kindness to make someone’s day.
Over 7,000 KIND bars were handed out—mostly to students, however we did see some faculty and community members come by. There were lots of smiles and enthusiastic comments.
But kindness doesn’t stop there. Want more information? Check out http://news.wisc.edu/kindness-curriculum-boosts-school-success-in-preschoolers/.
