Join the Wisconsin Union this Day of the Badger for 1,848 minutes of UW celebration and support.
Taking place April 16th and 17th, Day of the Badger is a time to celebrate what makes the UW great. And we think the Wisconsin Union makes it pretty great.
Thanks to gifts from alumni, friends, and family, the Wisconsin Union is well-positioned to meet the ever-increasing needs of the UW-Madison student body; to build a stronger campus community for all; and to inspire a sense of ownership among its members unlike any other Union in the country. We have a proud tradition of student excellence at the Union that makes our community a reality – supported in large part through the generosity of our loyal friends and alumni. Please consider making a gift to one of the Wisconsin Union funds featured below this Day of the Badger.

André De Shields Fund
The multi-talented André De Shields has it all — a Tony, a Grammy, an Obie, and an Emmy. He also has a diploma from Wisconsin’s flagship university. However, as a student of color, he was denied opportunities to showcase his talent on the campus’ big stage. Nonetheless, André persevered. In recognition of that resilience and significant achievements in the performing arts, the André De Shields Fund was created. The fund aims to create a community of many perspectives where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Through grants and mentorship, students have the chance to develop, produce, and perform their artistic visions, enriching our campus with unique artistry and groundbreaking ideas.
