Highlights of the week:
- Take a break during this week of care and recap the 2021 Mental Health & Wellbeing Summit. Be sure to watch the keynote Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, licensed psychologist, speaker, and host of the wildly popular mental health podcast, Therapy for Black Girls, you’ll learn valuable tips and strategies for managing your mental health. #TakeCareUW
17: Language Major & Certificate Drop-in Advising– As part of Major Discovery Week (March 15-19), the department of German, Nordic, and Slavic will be holding Zoom drop in hours from 1-2 p.m.
18: Funding Student Abroad Info Session – Worried that studying abroad will break your budget? Attend this upcoming session to learn about the cost of studying abroad, Financial Aid and Scholarships, creative funding strategies and savings, and more. On Zoom. 1-2 p.m.
19: Zentangles– Join the SoE Virtual Den and take an art break with Zentangles! Zentangling is a way to let your mind unwind while you create artistic patterns on paper. You’ll need a pencil and a few pieces of paper (post-it note / square size is best). Join the den here. 6 p.m.
20: Outdoor UW Equipment Rental – Take a break this Saturday by renting snowshoes and/or other equipment from Outdoor UW. Outdoor UW offers a variety of different activities suitable for all interests and skill levels and is located in the lower level of Memorial Union.
21: Bucky’s Award Ceremony – Join the Student Leadership Program as they celebrate this year’s Bucky Award winners! You or your org may be recognized, so be sure to join the ceremony on Zoom. 7-8:30 p.m.
22: PAVE x Social Justice Hub: Change is Brewing-Rape Culture on Campus – Join PAVE UW, the Social Justice Hub, and an expert from the Preventing Interpersonal Violence and Overcoming Trauma (PIVOT) lab on campus for a relaxed discussion in a safe space about a topic that affects us all: rape culture on our campus. 23: Mindfulness Practice – Join Pres House’s mindfulness group to explore different styles of guided mindfulness meditation within a welcoming, safe, and inclusive community. No prior experience necessary! The meetings will have two parts: the first part focuses on mindfulness and the second part is a discussion on how these practices worked for people. Join on GatherTown. 7-8 p.m.

- Badger Talks – Badger Talks is pleased to present a LIVE series of talks on topics that intend to inspire, delight, and pleasantly distract in a time we are all needing positive experiences.
