The days are getting warmer (we think!) and the sun is shining longer each day — spring is here, Badgers! Finally.
As you head into the final stretches of the spring semester, keep in mind these few reminders and resources to help you stay safe, well, and have fun.
Be Safe and Respect Others.
- Practice safer drinking strategies, like eating before and during.
- Carry Narcan, available at 35 campus locations.
- Step in if you notice something harmful. Looking to build your skills as an active bystander? Take ActWIse, available on Canvas.
- Consent is crucial. Honor the boundaries of others, and never make assumptions.
- Remember to make use of SafeWalk and their free walking escorts until 1:00 a.m.
Stay Well.
- Need help and are unsure where to go? The Office of Student Assistance and Support is here to help you navigate campus life, together.
- UHS offers a wide range of no-cost support for all UW-Madison students. There are mental health and medical services available in the clinic, as well as resources that don’t require any appointment at all like Let’s Talk consultations.
- Exercise and stay healthy. Now is always a good time to find opportunities to move your body. Drop into one of the Rec Well facilities , or check out the one-on-one wellness coaching program.
- Time Out! For Self-Care runs April 25-May 9. Time Out! For Self-Care encourages students to take breaks and focus on nurturing physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing during what is a stressful time of year. UHS and Rec Well are hosting several wellbeing events during this time to support and celebrate students.
