Dear Badgers,
We are counting down the days to welcome you back to campus for what we hope will be a wonderful fall term. As you begin to prepare for the semester, we want to highlight an important resource related to involvement in student organizations.
Every member of our Badger community has a responsibility to uphold our institutional values, including the organizations with which you associate. The following groups are currently not recognized as student organizations due to their inability to hold themselves to the university’s standards and expectations. Addresses are listed for some, but not all, with known chapter facilities.
You should not join or associate with these groups:
- Alpha Epsilon Pi (active fraternity)
- Chi Phi (in process to attain registered student organization status as Phi Sigma Phi fraternity)
- Sigma Alpha Mu (active fraternity)
- Sigma Chi (inactive fraternity)
- Theta Chi, 210 Langdon Street (active fraternity)
Joining student organizations that are registered with the university will positively advance your academic and social experience at UW–Madison. We encourage you to check up-to-date information on un-registered organizations that are terminated, suspended, on probation with restrictions, or have disassociated as you consider how you will get involved during your time on campus.
As you explore and settle in this semester at UW–Madison, we look forward to helping each of you find the right involvement opportunities to enhance your own Wisconsin Experience.
On, Wisconsin!
