What does student advocacy mean to me?
It’s essential that we actively advocate within our communities at UW–Madison, no matter their size. Standing up for shared values helps create a more inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and supported. I truly believe student advocacy is one of the most powerful tools we have to make sure every voice is heard and respect.
Why do you think DOSAB is important?
I believe the DOSAB plays a crucial role in identifying areas on campus that can be improved, fostering education among its members, and collaboratively developing solutions that benefit the broader community. Having a group of students who work closely with the Dean of Students is essential to ensure that student concerns are heard, understood, and addressed from a student perspective. The DOSAB helps community members feel actively involved in the changes taking place on campus and serves as a unifying force for the student body.
