What does student advocacy mean to me?

Advocacy means standing up for what I believe is right and making sure concerns are recognized, acknowledged, and addressed. I see advocacy as a practical way to help solve problems and improve situations wherever possible. Doing the right thing matters; it’s about caring enough to say, “This could be better,” and taking action.

Why do you think DOSAB is important?

The Dean of Students Advisory Board is important because students should have a real say in the place they’re spending years of their lives. It gives us a chance to share what we’re experiencing directly with the people who make big decisions on campus. That kind of open communication between students and the administrators makes the university stronger for everyone.
