Each year, the Ginsberg Family Awards recognize students who have made outstanding leadership and service contributions to the university community while maintaining a record of academic excellence. The awards are a legacy of Paul Ginsberg, former dean of students at UW-Madison, and his family. They honor the values that Paul Ginsberg was always proud of in his students — their academic success and their involvement in student leadership and volunteering.
This year, 25 outstanding juniors and seniors who displayed these values are honored with the award and a $1,000 scholarship.
“All 25 Ginsberg Family Awards recipients have demonstrated outstanding involvement and community impact. UW-Madison is an exceptional place because of students like this, and we know the legacy that they leave will not soon be forgotten,” says Christina Olstad, Dean of Students. “I am so impressed with all that the awardees have accomplished and excited to see what they will do in the future. Through their leadership, scholarship and service, they have all made a significant impact on the campus and broader community.”
