We’re entering the third week of remote classes, and we’ve been amazed by the positivity and resilience displayed by you, the students. We know how difficult the transition has been, but remember, you’re not alone. As we all work to adjust to this new, temporary way of life, it’s important to stay connected in whatever ways we can.
Starting this week, the Dean of Students Office will be hosting a series of themed drop-in sessions every Wednesday at noon. These online conversations are an opportunity for you to engage with your fellow students and Student Affairs staff, connect with online campus resources, and share your voice and concerns regarding the impact of COVID-19.
“It’s crucial that during times of uncertainty, our students feel supported and connected to their community. We’re excited to provide some helpful resources and talk through the challenges faced by the campus community after moving to online instruction,” explains Kathy Kruse, assistant dean and director of the Dean of Students Office. “Each week, staff will join campus partners and students to share resources, create community, and answer questions. We’re continuing the message for our students that we’re here for them and we care.”
