As the academic year begins to close out, and the weather begins to warm up, remember to take care of yourself and each other. During these last weeks, let’s stay focused, and #FinishStrong.
Here are some tips and things to keep in mind as you hit the final stretch:
Study Support.
- #FinishStrong with help from Greater University Tutoring Services (GUTS), an on-campus peer tutoring service that provides academic, language, and study skill support for all Badgers. It is free and easy to register.
- Check out the Office of Academic and Career Success for additional resources and support.
You are not alone.
- If you need assistance, there is support for both basic needs and mental health. When faced with a challenging situation and you are not sure where to go for help, look to the Dean of Students Office. Staff will help you connect with further resources and services.
- Let’s Talk, through UHS offers no-cost, informal, and confidential consultations on campus and virtually. In-person sessions are first come first served and range from 20-25 minutes, now until May 10.
- UHS Mental Health Services partners with Uwill to expand access to flexible, no-cost, virtual counseling options. Licensed medical professionals are available for video, phone, chat, and message sessions, during flexible hours.
Take a break.
-
- Remember, it’s okay and necessary to take breaks. Find time to pause and take in the last moments of this semester. Relax and recharge by spending time outside, listening to music, getting extra sleep, and even connecting with friends or loved ones who help you be the best you.
- May 4-10 is Self-care Week at Rec Well. Enjoy free group fitness classes, guided meditation classes, and more. Walk-ins welcome.
- Taking a break from studying can even help increase your energy and focus better in the long run. Wisconsin Union has free events to help you re-energize and de-stress.
You’re almost there. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished and remember campus is filled with resources to help you #FinishStrong.
