The new semester is just around the corner, and we’re excited to welcome (and welcome back) current students, and incoming freshmen and transfer students to campus. The start of the semester is an exciting time of the year. New students from all over the world are stepping on to campus for the first time, and for many, it’s their first time living independently. It’s the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and create memorable new experiences.
Wisconsin Welcome offers events for incoming students to meet new friends and find their place in the community during the first three weeks of the semester. There are events for everyone, but we’ve highlighted several below that you should be sure to check out:“Students should take advantage of the opportunity to engage in Wisconsin Welcome events so they can meet new friends, explore campus, and have fun with other incoming freshmen and transfers. Using the app (go.wisc.edu/welcome) is an easy way to find events that are happening each day,” said Katie Cummings, communications coordinator at Center for the First-Year Experience.
